Announcing the Conversation with… hosts

Delegates of the 42nd RCOT Annual Conference in Belfast are invited to have a conversation with some of our influential conference speakers. The session takes place between 7.50 – 8.50 on Tuesday 12 June.

The hosts are:

  • Paul Burstow, President of the Telecare Services Association (TSA) and highly respected former Minister of State for Care Services.
  • Dr Brian Hoare, Director and Principal Teacher, CP Training, who has done pioneering work in the field of cerebral palsy research.
  • Dr Patricia McClure, Chairman of RCOT and Associate Head of School of Health Sciences at Ulster University. Patricia has secured several research grants to advance knowledge in practice based learning.
  • Dr Duncan Pentland, RCOT Research and Development Board Vice-Chair, Lecturer, Division of Occupational and Arts Therapies, Queen Margaret University and author of Occupational therapy and complexity: defining and describing practice publication.
  • Chris Pointon , co-founder of My name is…, who along with his late wife Kate Granger, has transformed the way health professionals interact with patients.
  • Julia Scott, Chief Executive of the RCOT, who will want to find out your thoughts on the newly launched Strategic Intentions.

Only 60 places will be available, and only registered delegates will be able to take part.
